I liked the fight mechanics, though if you played it right you could easily not take any damage since all the enemies have two stage attacks and your dodge works 100% of the time.

I didn't realize until after I played that the enemies in rocks have slightly darker shadows. Was kind of easy to miss.

There was really only one enemy that could damage you (the final boss). All the other ones could only disrupt you or escape. Speaking of which, did any of the enemies manage to run away?

Also glad you noticed the shadows. I actually worried that it would be too noticeable. Considering the theme, I think it seemed appropriate for the shadows to be easy to miss.

None of them were able to run away because I always removed the status ailments on the next turn, then if they tried to run I stunned them.
